About me.
With little to no experience in the automotive world, but a talent of spinning tales and understanding people, I dedicated my spare time to motorsport and reduced my working hours to study a masters degree in Automotive Journalism. I threw myself into pole position for any opportunities which might come my way, and said yes to everything. Motorsport Soph was born.
You see, I wasn’t raised to be a petrol head. I didn’t have a spanner in my hand at the age of 8 years old and I don’t have a history of karting, but my journalism path and my adventurous nature has put me on track for an exciting career in motorsport.
Although my freelance work has mainly been written articles or interviews, I feel blessed to have worked with the likes of Ferrari and the British Drift Championship on projects which have enabled me to be track side. I’m happy to spend hours at home researching a 3,000 word story or to sit in an office churning out urgent press releases, but I’m happiest when I can get creative on location. Whether that’s grabbing vox pops from the public, or filming some action which is great for social media. I love creating content and being amongst the atmosphere.
Long hours and travelling the country don’t bother me as long as I can be involved in the world of motorsport.
